How
Can it Attract Qualified Technicians and Help Me Pay Them What They're
Worth?
With Advantage Comfort Pricing, all repair
tasks have an associated time that denotes how long it should take
the average technician to perform the repair. At the end of your
pay period, you can calculate the amount of time that each technician
has billed and multiply that number by their hourly pay rate to
arrive at their gross pay amount. In other words, technicians are
paid according to how much they bill to customers. This system
is known as task pay, and it puts the individual technicians in
control of how much or how little they earn.
Technicians who bill more for their company will
in turn be rewarded for their performance with higher pay.
This will make your company more attractive to highly qualified
technicians who see an opportunity to make more money with your
company. Having more capable technicians will in turn generate
more profit for your company and decrease call-backs and non-billable
service calls.
Task pay also keeps your existing technicians motivated
by providing an incentive for them to always perform at maximum
productivity levels. This means you won’t have to constantly check
up behind them to make sure they’re doing what’s required.
Although task pay is not required to use Advantage
Comfort Pricing, we highly recommend you consider it. Used
in combination with traditional hourly wages or entirely by itself,
task pay makes your company’s success the personal goal of each
of your technicians. If you use QuickBooks accounting software,
task pay is extremely easy to set up with Advantage Comfort Pricing’s
QuickBooks integration.
