How
Does it Work?
Advantage Comfort Pricing is a flat rate pricing system
based on a system of average repair times for common HVAC repairs.
It incorporates your specific labor rates and material markup schemes
to create a custom pricing system that fits your company. Instead
of using hourly rates, Advantage Comfort Pricing uses a separate
“base rate” for each of your pricing schemes (such as
“standard” “overtime” or “preferred”).
The repair’s labor charge is calculated by multiplying its
rated completion time by your base rate. This labor charge is then
added to the total price of materials to obtain the flat rate repair
price.
For example, suppose you perform a repair rated at 2 hours that
includes $55 of parts (after markup). Your standard base rate is
$80 and your overtime base rate is $120.

These prices no longer show an hourly rate to your customers, instead,
one simple “flat rate” is presented. This relieves you
from the “lowest-rate race” with your competitors. This
pricing structure also makes it very easy to periodically update
your prices to account for inflation or increasing overhead without
surprise or complaints from your customer.
